Projects

Throughout my Aerospace Engineering Studies, I have undertaken a range of projects that showcase my technical expertise and passion for innovation in the field. Each project has enriched my understanding of key aerospace concepts and principles.From individual projects to group projects, my commitment to pushing the boundaries of aerospace engineering grows depeer and deeper.

  • BMFA Challenge
    Currently participating in The British Model Flying Association Challenge with a team of 4.With the key objectives being Aircraft Design and Build, Payload Transportion, Flight Performance among others, further and detailed instructions are to be handed to us by our supervisor for the 2024/2025 university year challenge.

Quadcopter Drones

Quadcopter Drones

This project involved evaluating the perfomance of a common quadcopter configuration in aerial environments. The CFD analysis provided insights into optimizing the drone's design for better stability and efficiency by investigating drag values. The main project objectives include;

  • 1.CFD Simulations:Conduct Computational Dluid Dynamics (CFD)simulations of the quadcopter models using star CCM+, developed by Siemens Digital Industries.
  • 2.Design: Designing quadcopter models with different configurations that are commonly used, using CATIA V5 by Dassault Systems
  • 3.Performance: Investigate and compare the performance of the models at different velocities and assess there drag values.

Aerofoil Analysis & Tests

Aerofoil Analysis & Tests

Development of a new wing requires extensive two dimensional analysis of the aerofoil as a critical step in the design process. This project focuses on a set of wind tunnel results from the testing and analysis of an aerofoil with a low camber profile. A report outlining the process conducted to collect wind tunnel measurements and derive Coefficient of Lift(Cl) results from Coefficient of Pressure (Cp) is highlighted. The results are then presented in Cp against Chord and Cl against alpha plots.

Finite Element Analysis

FEA techniques were employed to analyze and assess the difference in response of beams loaded with a Force F at the tip of the beam. A short report below shows the findings from the project.The values and location of Maximum Von Mises Stress in the beams are also extracted.
